We welcome this decision. Now its Government's responsibility to get everyone vaccinated - Jyoti Badekar, General Secretary of Mumbai, Janta Dal (Secular)
The Government of Maharashtra is going to introduce one
app which will determine the people who are fully vaccinated.
People who are allegeable for this train travel would
download this app, register themselves and get a pass that will confirm them to
travel by train.
This initiative is welcomed by Mumbaikars who struggle to
travel by bus and other transport. Especially office going ladies and the labor
class people who do not come under the essential services are facing immense
trouble while travelling by bus or any other Road Transport. The bad road
condition and heavy rain in recent days have troubled these ladies and the men
a lot.
Jyoti Badekar, General Secretary of Mumbai, Janta Dal (Secular), Ravi Bhilane, General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh, Janta Dal (Secular), along with their fellow party members have marched a “Without Ticket Protest” on 27th July 2021. The motive behind the protest was to force the government to take the decision to allow all the people to travel with due care. The labor class people are struggling to live. Government is not taking any responsibility for their survival. So to allow them to travel can give much relief to them.
Janta Dal’s stand was to minimize the struggle of the people
and for that government should allow them to travel by train and if it is no
possible at least fully vaccinated should be allowed. They threaten the
Government to act accordingly otherwise the protest will be continued till the
decision is made. Following this BJP also raised the same issue.
After today’s announcement by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackerey Janta Dal have welcomed it. Jyoti Badekar expressed her views to Itivrutta saying, “The decision is welcomed. Our demand is to allow everyone to travel. But at initial stage allowing fully vaccinated is also a good decision. Now to get everyone vaccinated is the Government’s duty. Because there are many corona affected people who did not have first dose as there should be three months gap after their positive reports. And now there is no first dose is available in any Government center. If Government centers do not have first doses then how private hospitals possess these doses? This shows that there is some leakage in the process. Government should look into it.”
An announcement made by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackerey
is welcomed at every stage. Now it is Government’s responsibility to get everyone
vaccinated.
