Pandemic period was a hard period to survive for every
citizen of this world. But some people made this contaminated air to breathe
easy. Journalist and Chief Editor of
Odisharay, Mr. Abhishek Mohanty’s efforts saved life of many with helping those
in their hard times. Recently he received the prestigious “Seba Gaurab Samman” The
award ceremony was organized by Kalinga Charitable Trust at Utkal Rangamanch in
Bhubaneswar.
Mr. Abhishek Mohanty is running his news portal https://www.odisharay.com in English and Odia
language and also running a YouTube news channel Odisha Ray. Both these
news platforms are gaining popularity among the people. Abhishek have helped
people in various ways in this pandemic and he is also very swift and devoted
to give current and relevant news on his news platforms. That helped many
people in one or the other way. His work was appreciated by people and also by
prominent personalities. His award is the symbol of his dedication.
Kalinga Charitable Trust is a social and cultural
organization working since 2019 with an objective to protect girl child and
engaged in various welfare activities like helping needy people and senior
citizens. They felicitate the people who are working on grass root level for
society. This was there second Felicitation program in a row.
This Program was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of
Madhusudan Law University Professor Dr Kamal Jeet Singh. Chairperson of State
Commission for Persons with Disabilities Dr Minati Behera graced the occasion
as chief guest.
This year, the “Kalinga Ratna Samman” was conferred on
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Vice Chancellor Professor Ashok Kumar
Mohapatra, Odissi dancer Madhusmita Mohanty and Pandit Dasarathi Samantaray.
Other recipients of the “Seba Gaurab Samman” are Dr Utkal
Khadenga, Dr Nalinikanta Sahu, Dr Satyasmita Jena, Dr Supriti Patra, Binod
Behera, Dr Sushil Patnaik, Dibyaranjan Patnaik, Bijay Khuntia, Binay Kumar
Tripathy, Amiya Kumar Das, Alok Panda, Itishree Baliarsingh, Subir Kumar
Pandey, Subrat Tarenia, Dillip Kumar Mohanty, Puspita Nayak, Puspalata Mohanty,
Ranjita Patra, Aparna Patra, Dr Niharika Mishra and Jayanti Swain.
The event titled ‘Beti Bachao O Beti Padhao’ witnessed
mesmerizing cultural programmes including dance and bhajan by girls.
